MUSICFANS.us is a site where music fans can support their favorite music venues by letting other potential patrons know about them.
Have you ever been frustrated with search results for local live music events in your area? The content is sometimes out of date, or incomplete. This site is an attempt to address that problem by appealing to Live Music Fans to provide information about their favorite live music venues and offer feedback for any needed updates to improve the site.
For example, if you see a great venue that is missing from the list, post a comment, like: “Hey, you guys should add Venue ABC, over in Musicville, NY”. or “Hey, venue XYZ closed a few weeks ago, you should remove it.”
The goal is to have a comment friendly site where people post about great live music venues in their area. Eventually, if all goes well, this could become the best place to stop online to find local live music.
Initially, the focus will be on the areas in and around NY and southern CT (where the web guy is from) and hopefully, expand to other areas, depending on the feedback. So if you know of any great venues in CT-SW, NY-LI, NY-NY or NY-SE, please sign in and post a comment about your favorite live music venues. Of course, with the whole corona virus, lock down thing going on, music venues are taking a hit right now, but when venues are up and running again, they’ll need all the help they can get, and recommending and commenting on them is one way we can help them.
